STORAGE ADVICE
To keep Dorset Chorizo Picante fresh and flavorful, it’s important to store it properly. Store the chorizo in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, such as a pantry or cupboard. Once opened, transfer the chorizo to an airtight container or wrap it tightly in plastic wrap. Refrigerate it at a temperature below 40°F (4°C) to maintain its quality. Properly stored, Dorset Chorizo Picante can be refrigerated for up to 1-2 weeks. If you want to extend its shelf life, you can also freeze the chorizo. Wrap it tightly in freezer-safe wrap or place it in a freezer bag, removing as much air as possible. Frozen chorizo can maintain its quality for up to 3-4 months. When ready to use, thaw the chorizo in the refrigerator before cooking. Remember to always follow food safety guidelines and consume the chorizo within a few days after thawing.

Your item will arrive in a 100% recycled box lovingly packed with FSC-certified shredded spruce from Britain and Sweden, natural sheep’s wool insulation and non-toxic chilled gel packs, all of which can be reused, composted or recycled. To recycle the gel packs, simply cut a corner and dispose of the contents through your normal domestic waste system, as the gel isn’t harmful to the environment. Better still, reuse them by storing in the freezer and chilling other products. The only component from our packaging that can’t be recycled are the foil liners which need to be go in household waste; the poly bags meat comes in needs to go in plastic recycling.

To cook Dorset Chorizo Picante, follow these instructions:

1. Preheat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
2. Remove the chorizo from its packaging and slice it into desired thickness.
3. Add a small amount of oil to the preheated pan, just enough to coat the surface.
4. Place the chorizo slices in the pan, ensuring they are evenly spread out.
5. Cook the chorizo for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are nicely browned and heated through.
6. Use tongs or a spatula to turn the slices occasionally for even cooking.
7. Once cooked, remove the chorizo from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
8. Let the chorizo rest for a minute or two before serving.
9. Serve the Dorset Chorizo Picante as a standalone appetizer, in sandwiches, or use it to add flavor to various dishes like paella, stews, or pasta.

Remember to adjust the cooking time based on your preferred level of crispiness and follow any specific instructions provided on the packaging.
