COUNTRY OF ORIGIN UK

Somerset Camembert, a delicious cheese from the Somerset region, can be enjoyed in various ways. Here are a few serving suggestions to enhance the flavors of this creamy and rich cheese:
1. Cheese board: Arrange slices or wedges of Somerset Camembert on a cheese board along with a selection of crackers, bread, and fresh fruits like grapes or sliced apples. Add some nuts, such as walnuts or almonds, for extra crunch and variety. This allows guests to create their own combinations.
2. Baked Camembert: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Remove the Camembert from its packaging and place it back in its wooden box or in a small oven-safe dish. Make a few shallow cuts on the top of the cheese and drizzle it with a bit of olive oil or honey for added flavor. Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is soft and gooey. Serve with crusty bread or breadsticks for dipping.
3. Salad topping: Add slices or chunks of Somerset Camembert to a fresh green salad. The creamy texture and delicate flavor of the cheese will complement the crispness of the greens. You can also add some roasted nuts, dried cranberries, or a light vinaigrette to enhance the salad further.
4. Grilled sandwich: Create a mouthwatering grilled sandwich by spreading some Somerset Camembert on slices of crusty bread. Add some caramelized onions, thinly sliced apple or pear, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Grill the sandwich until the cheese melts and the bread turns golden brown. Cut into halves or quarters and serve warm.
5. Pairing with wine: Somerset Camembert pairs well with a variety of wines. Serve it with a crisp white wine like Sauvignon Blanc or a light-bodied red wine such as Pinot Noir. The wine’s acidity and fruitiness will complement the creamy and slightly tangy flavors of the cheese.
Remember to let the Somerset Camembert sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving to enhance its flavors and texture. Enjoy!
