‘Wilfred loves: The Black Scotsman’

This is the first in my new series, ‘Wilfred Loves’, in which I tell you about the products I’m most passionate about on The Black Farmer and give you a flavour of the inspiration behind them. While I love everything we create for you, in this regular feature, I give my stamp of approval to those that mean something truly personal to me.
Like The Black Scotsman, for example: a label I created with love after discovering strong historic links between my place of birth in Jamaica and Scotland that date all the way back to the 1650s. Now I know why I feel so strongly drawn to all things Scottish!

While I love everything we create for you, in this regular feature, I give my stamp of approval to those that mean something truly personal to me.
Like The Black Scotsman, for example: a label I created with love after discovering strong historic links between my place of birth in Jamaica and Scotland that date all the way back to the 1650s. Now I know why I feel so strongly drawn to all things Scottish!
I think it’s important to celebrate our heritage, as that’s what makes us unique, so The Black Label was made in honour of that connection. For me, there was no better way to celebrate my Scottish roots than with a fine malt whisky made using the oldest traditions.
The Black Scotsman Single Malt Whisky is a small-batch, nine-year whisky that was distilled at the Glenrothes Distillery and matured in a single sherry cask making it truly unique. It offers a delicious range of warm fruit aromas and flavours with a long and mouth-watering cherry finish. I suggest enjoying neat, on the rocks or with a dash of water in a heavy glass for the ultimate nightcap.

For people out there with a dream, just like me with The Black Scotsman, I’d say there are two things you need: passion and focus. Passion will see you through the tough times – the knock-backs and people telling you ‘no’ – while focus will keep you on track so you can push aside the things that don’t matter and concentrate on achieving your dream.
