Hot, spicy and packed full of veggies and my premium pork sausages.  Easy to adapt with whatever vegetables you have too!  The nasi goreng spices are easily found in supermarkets these days.


  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 large onion, finely sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 150-200g fine beans cut in half
  • 150-200g green cabbage, finely sliced
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 2 x 250g sachets ready cooked long grain rice
  • 3 tsp. nasi goreng spice mix OR 2 tbsp nasi goreng spice paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • a squirt of tomato ketchup
  • 4-6 The Black Farmer Premium Pork sausages, cooked and cut into 1cm dice
  • Chopped coriander to serve


First of all make the omelette – heat 1tbsp oil in a roomy frying pan or wok.  When hot add the egg mix, season with a little salt and spread the mix out to make an omelette.  Remove and when cool cut into ribbons.  Clean the pan and add the remaining 2 tbsp oil, when hot add the onion and stir and fry until it is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Now add the garlic and beans and continue to fry over a medium heat until the beans are bright green and still have a crunch.  Add the cabbage and stir briskly for a couple of minutes before adding the carrots and rice.  Mix well then add the nasi goreng seasoning, soy sauce, tomato ketchup and sausages.  Stir and fry to make sure all the ingredients are well coated with the spices and sauces and the sausages are hot through.  Check for seasoning and add salt and pepper if necessary.  Top with the omelette ribbons and chopped coriander before serving.Go Back
