Kenya

Kenya carries the highly prized reputation of producing some of the best East African coffees.  This has been achieved through the high-quality cultivation, grading and selling best practices.  Much of Kenyan coffee is recognised by its high level of acidity that promotes complex citrus notes and zesty fruit flavours.

Ethiopia

The birthplace of the famous Arabica variety, it is not surprising that Ethiopian coffee is regarded as some of the very best in the world. A high proportion of its coffee is grown ‘wild’ which contributes to the extreme diversity of the coffees produced and plays a large part in their great reputation. Ethiopian coffee is well known for its unique flavours, complex and balanced acidities and a light to medium body.

Rwanda

In Rwanda, coffee farming has been used as a vehicle for change and makes this one of the most interesting East African regions. Known as the “Land of a Thousand Hills” Rwanda produces world class coffees at high altitudes, between 1700 and 2000 meters above sea level. The resulting Taste of Africa Ground Coffee often has bright fruity flavours, well balanced acidity, floral characteristics and with a tea-like finish.
