Our beef stir fry strips come from lean hind quarter muscle, which our our butchers have cut into strips. This is a convenient, healthy and simple preparation that you can use in a multitude of ways.

We love using stir fry strips in simple, healthy and quick wok dishes. Heat the wok until it’s just beginning to smoke, then add a light oil such as rapeseed or sunflower. Add the stir fry strips and stir quickly. Once the strips are beginning to brown, add in a mixture of chopped garlic, chilli and ginger. Next, quickly stir in soy sauce, into which you have added a large pinch of cornflour. Add spring onion, peppers and baby corn. Finally, stir in fresh egg noodles. This will give you a healthy, balanced and delicious meal in minutes.

Our lean beef stir fry strips are suitable for freezing at home. If you choose to freeze your meat, make sure to leave plenty of time for it to thaw properly.

Cooking instructions and recipe:



  • 500g stir fry beef strips
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • small bunch spring onions, sliced on the diagonal
  • 200g roasted antipasto peppers in oil or vinegar, drained and sliced
  • boiled rice, to serve


  • STEP 1

    Put the beef in a medium non-metallic bowl and cover with the vinegar, soy and Worcestershire sauce. Leave to marinate for 20 mins, or if you have the time, overnight.

  • STEP 2

    Heat a small dry wok until it’s very hot. Tip in the beef, marinade and spring onions, stir fry for 2 mins. Add the roasted peppers, then stir fry for a further 2 mins. Divide the stir fry between shallow bowls and serve with some boiled rice.
