Our chickens are free to roam and reared slowly, which not only means for a happier life but also leads to a fuller flavour and superior texture. Our free range chicken has been carefully packaged so that the marinade is absorbed into the meat. This means you get a depth of flavour right down to the last bite.
The Black Farmer never cuts corners, so these and all our free range chicken products are prepared by traditional expert butchers. This guarantees that every cut will be of the highest standard, helping with flavour and presentation.

By vacuum packing our meat, we make it fresh for longer. It is also suitable for freezing for those of you who want to be prepared for a last-minute gathering. If you do choose to freeze your free range chicken, makes sure it is defrosted thoroughly before cooking.

From defrost: 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6 20-25 mins Place the diced chicken on a baking tray and cover with tin foil. Place in the centre of a pre-heated oven for 15 minutes. Remove tin foil, turn once and cook for further 5-10 minutes. For best results oven cook from frozen.
