Smoked Lardons 300g


The Black Farmer smoked lardons are a versatile and delicious ingredient to have in the home. Our butchers cure the bacon with a minimal amount of salt and brown sugar. Smoked lardons add fantastic flavour to finely chopped vegetables as a base for sauces and stews. We love using them in carbonara. They also go very well with breast of game birds.

Fry the lardons in a little butter until they’re golden. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain them well. Fry the breasts in the same pan and then remove and allow to rest. Return the cooked lardons to the pan and wilt spinach. Finally, incorporate single cream. Our smoked lardons are high quality and carefully cured. Quality meat tastes better, and we have always believed that high-welfare, free range meat is worth the effort.

The Black Farmer smoked lardons will stay fresh for a good while. If you choose to freeze them, make sure you defrost them thoroughly before cooking. The easiest way is simply to leave in the fridge overnight.


Cooking instructions:

To Pan Fry from chilled. Before Cooking: Preheat 5ml of oil in a frying pan over a moderate/high heat. Place bacon lardons in preheated pan. During Cooking: Fry over a moderate/high heat for 5 mins.


This product has a shelf life of 5 days from the date of delivery. This pack is approximately 300g.
