Marinated free range BBQ meat is hard to find. Inexplicably, the same is true of free range chicken wings. This is not good enough for The Black Farmer, so we have done something about it. We are pleased to introduce our two-jointed, bone-in, skin-on, frankly amazing free range wings. We present them here ready-to-cook in our signature hot & spicy marinade.

Spicy marinades always go down well, but they must never be rushed. Simply dousing meat in hot sauce and then cooking it will not result in the depth of flavour that you get from a slow marinade. We have spent far longer than we care to think perfecting our hot & spicy marinade, and we believe it shows. Black pepper provides a pleasant and lasting heat, and natural, spicy flavours excite the palate. Our free-range chicken has been carefully packaged so that the marinade is absorbed into the meat, adding a depth of flavour right down to the last bite.

 

Free-range meat of this quality is rare, and yet our chicken wings are still fantastic value for money, meaning you can impress even the most demanding of your foodie friends without breaking the bank. Free-range chicken cooked on the bone results in a meaty, tender and satisfying end product. Just be prepared never to look at standard supermarket options the same way again.

 

The Black Farmer never cuts corners, so these and all our free-range chicken products are prepared by traditional expert butchers. This guarantees that every cut will be of the highest standard, helping with flavour and presentation.

 

These wonderful wings are also suitable for home freezing. Make sure that you defrost the meat slowly and thoroughly before cooking. The easiest way is simply to leave in the fridge overnight.

Cooking instructions for baked chicken wings:

INGREDIENTS

    • 3 pounds chicken wings party style
  • 1/3 cup BBQ Spice Rub homemade or store bought
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley optional

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a sheet pan with foil and place an oven safe rack on top of the foil. Coat the rack with cooking spray.
  • Place the chicken wings in a large bowl along with the oil. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Add the spice rub to the bowl. Toss the wings with the spice rub until they’re coated.
  • Arrange the chicken wings in a single layer on the rack.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Top with parsley, then serve.

 

This product has a shelf life of 5 days from the date of delivery.
