STORAGE ADVICE To maintain the premium quality of aged fillet pieces, it’s best to tightly wrap them in butcher or parchment paper to retain freshness and prevent freezer burn. Place them in an airtight container or sealable freezer bag, ensuring to expel as much air as possible before sealing. Store them in the coldest section of your freezer, maintaining a consistent temperature below 0°F (-18°C). When preparing to cook, thaw the fillet pieces in the refrigerator overnight for optimal results. Refrain from refreezing previously thawed fillets to uphold their quality and flavour.
PACKAGING This pack contains Fillet Piece Premium Aged
Your item will arrive in a 100% recycled box lovingly packed with FSC-certified shredded spruce from Britain and Sweden, natural sheep’s wool insulation and non-toxic chilled gel packs, all of which can be reused, composted or recycled. To recycle the gel packs, simply cut a corner and dispose of the contents through your normal domestic waste system, as the gel isn’t harmful to the environment. Better still, reuse them by storing in the freezer and chilling other products. The only component from our packaging that can’t be recycled are the foil liners which need to be go in household waste; the poly bags meat comes in needs to go in plastic recycling.

Cooking suggestion for Fillet Piece Premium Aged.

Grilled Filet Mignon with Herb Butter:

Ingredients:

  • Premium aged fillet pieces
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp each of chopped parsley, thyme, and rosemary

Instructions:

  1. Preheat grill to high heat.
  2. Season fillet pieces with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  3. Mix softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped herbs to make herb butter.
  4. Grill fillet pieces for 4-5 minutes each side for medium-rare.
  5. Spread herb butter on fillet pieces just before they’re done.
  6. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
