Please Note: Our chicken feet may arrive with dark spots, nails and hair.

Rest assured, this is not an indication of dirtiness. To maintain hygiene and prevent the spread of bacteria, we utilise a feather-burning process. This process, while effective, can result in dark spots on the chicken feet. We prioritise the safety and cleanliness of our products, and we appreciate your understanding.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN UK

Cooking chicken feet for pets requires a slightly different approach compared to cooking them for human consumption. Here’s a simple recipe and cooking instructions for preparing chicken feet for your pet:

Ingredients:

  • Chicken feet
  • Water (enough to cover the chicken feet)
  • Optional: vegetables (such as carrots or green beans) for added nutrition

Instructions:

  1. Start by thoroughly cleaning the chicken feet. Rinse them under cold water and remove any dirt or debris. You may also want to trim the nails if necessary.
  2. Place the cleaned chicken feet in a large pot and add enough water to cover them completely. If desired, you can also add some vegetables for added nutritional value.
  3. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer the chicken feet for about 2 to 3 hours. This long cooking time helps soften the feet and release beneficial nutrients.
  4. After simmering, remove the chicken feet from the pot and let them cool down. Be sure to discard any small bones that may have separated from the feet during cooking, as these can be a choking hazard for pets.
  5. Once the chicken feet have cooled, you can serve them to your pet. You can either serve them as-is or chop them into smaller pieces depending on your pet’s size and preference.

Note: Chicken feet can be quite rich, so it’s recommended to feed them to your pet in moderation. They can be served as an occasional treat or mixed with other ingredients as part of a balanced diet. Always consult with your veterinarian to ensure that chicken feet are suitable for your pet and to determine the appropriate portion size.

Remember to prioritize your pet’s safety and well-being when preparing food for them.
