Coeliac UK ambassador Dr Chris Steele handed over the Coeliac UK Petition to Number 10. Downing Street. Since March 2009, 8,783 people have signed the petition to urge the Government to do more to find the half a million people in the UK with undiagnosed coeliac disease. Study Confirms Increase in Wheat Gluten Disorder
A Minnesota study using frozen blood samples taken from Air Force recruits 50 years ago has found that intolerance of wheat gluten, a debilitating digestive condition, is four times more common today than it was in the 1950s.
