My new Raised without Antibiotics Pork range is available to buy now from Ocado!

The farming industry will tell us that the regular use of antibiotics is in the best interest of the animals, and I for one don’t want to see animals suffer unnecessarily. If they need antibiotics, I think they should be given them. But as we are now realising in the human population, overuse and unnecessary use of antibiotics is leading to disease resistant strains.

I believe that there is a growing number of people who prefer not to be consuming meat that has been raised with antibiotics, just as there are those who prefer their meat to be reared to organic standards or within RSPCA Approved guidelines.  The consumer has been fantastic at pushing our industry into improving farming practices, making this country’s animal welfare standards some of the best in the world.  Raised without antibiotics is another step in that direction.  I am glad to be the first to market with this concept in pork cuts.

UK Sausage Week WINNER!

We’ve only gone and done it!  Yes, The Black Farmer Premium Pork sausages have WON the 2017 UK Sausage Week Manufacturer’s Own Brand Sausage category.  What a great way to kick off UK Sausage Week (30 Oct – 5 Nov)!   And that’s not all, my super tasty Pulled Pork sausages were Highly Commended in the Innovative Category.

NEW Chicken Flamenco Sausages into Waitrose!

Chicken Flamenco, my latest sausage and flavour innovation is set to hit the shelves in selected Waitrose stores on 23rd September!  So please give them a try and let me know what you think!

Just chicken and a host of tasty ingredients including Roasted Red Peppers, Smoked Paprika and Rioja wine, these sausages are Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Soya Free and are bursting with flavour.  My recipe has been inspired by my love of Spain.  Its flavour pays homage to the intensity and passion in my favourite Flamenco dancing.  I hope I have managed to capture this in these tasty chicken sausages.

BBQ Season

I am celebrating the start of BBQ season with these new posters, look out for them!

New Look

To celebrate my new TV ad campaign, my packs have a new look!  The photo on the front of the pack was a real life shot taken during the film shoot.  As I strode across the fields away from the camera with the Union flag around my shoulders, a gust of wind caught the flag from underneath and blew it up in the air.  How it is on pack, is exactly how it was on the day.  I hope you like the image.

My Thank You

To show my appreciation to doctors, nurses and staff who saved my life after I suffered Leukaemia and a stem cell transplant, I’ve written my message loud and clear directly outside University College London Hospital. The poster will be adorning the Westbound Euston Underpass from Monday 11th April for all at UCLH to see.

New TV Commercial

Channel 4, April 8th at 9.10pm in Gogglebox

A ground breaking piece of work that gives a window on my soul – my passions, my life and loves. Directed by Hollywood genius, Tony Kaye, it was shot in Devon on my farm. It is unlike any food ad you will ever have seen on TV before!

I love colour and energy, they fuel my passion for film and photography.

I love to cook – to experiment with flavour, texture and colour. I don’t need recipes, just an idea and some ingredients. Flavour for me is everything.

And dancing… Morris dancing for me embodies the absolute best of great British tradition. The costumes, the story telling. A colourful delight that is full of joy. Flamenco too. The energy, the passion, the colour, the rhythm. I love that they are for everyone, no barriers, no borders.
